By now it should be no secret that all of us at Iron Accents absolutely love wedding season. That’s why we’ve been celebrating the season with our “Wedding Theme of the Month” Pinterest + blog series all spring and summer long.
With the official first day of summer only two days away, we are in full beach mode at Iron Accents. As the solstice approaches, we are constantly dreaming of bare feet in the sand, the relaxing sound of waves crashing and the sunshine kissing our skin.
Since we can’t get away from the office for a quick lunch break on the beach, we figured throwing ourselves into planning the perfect beach wedding would suffice. That’s why, yet again, the Iron Accents team has come up with their favorite picks for June’s wedding theme. Keep reading to discover what items the design experts at Iron Accents recommend to create the perfect atmosphere at any beachside wedding!
Valerie’s Pick: Fringed Jute Runners
As a true beach lover, Valerie loves to take a beach getaway whenever possible. While living in North Georgia doesn’t allow Valerie to make many beach trips throughout the year, she’s never one to miss attending a wedding on the beach.
“Weddings are always so special, but there’s something extraordinary about a wedding on the beach,” Valerie says, “Beaches are beautiful as is, so the setting doesn’t call for too much decor, with the exception of the arbor for the ceremony and place settings for the guests.”
As she mentioned, one place that requires special attention when decorating for a beach wedding is your guest tables. That’s why Valerie picked the Fringed Jute Runners. These fringed burlap table runners are new at Iron Accents and will make for the perfect place setting at a beach or island theme event. They come in three lengths to keep pace with the passing tray of pina coladas and a variety of island inspired colors including ivory, natural, sea green, tangerine and turquoise.
Christie’s Pick: Flame Replicating Candles
Christie picked these flameless candles for one important reason: they won’t blow out. These Flame Replicating Candles create the perfect ambiance for an evening beach wedding and with the ocean breeze constantly blowing, flame lit candles are sure to be a problem.
These candles will fool your guests with their incredibly realistic appearance. Check out this video to learn more about these great (and safe!) candles: Flame Replicating Candles
Teresa’s Pick: Glass Candleholders with Rope (Set of 3)
This set of three Glass Candleholders with Rope are handcrafted of rope and recycled glass and bring character to any setting, especially a beach wedding. The knotted rope is perfect for a nautical theme and the candleholders can be filled with a variety of beach themed items. Teresa picked these because the possibilities are endless.
“I love these glass candleholders with ropes,” Teresa says. “They would be great for holding candles at a beach wedding because they would not blow out. Not to mention, you could fill the bottom of these with anything from sand to seashells, or fill them with wedding favors for guests to grab on their way home!”
Tara’s Pick: Vintage Sack Pillow
Tara loves this vintage sack pillow simply because the saying rings true to us all. The phrase “All You Need is Love and The Beach” is perfect for an event that focuses on both! Throw these pillows on some comfortable outdoor seating or purchase as a lovely housewarming gift for the happy newlyweds!
Terri’s Pick: Wood Boat Drink Tub
This drink tub is perfect for guests to serve themselves at a relaxing beachside wedding and the tin insert lets you fill it with ice to ensure drinks don’t get warm in the summer heat. As our in-house designer, Terri has an eye for decorating events of all kinds. She loves the Wood Boat Drink Tub for several reasons.
“This drink tub would be ideal on a main table to serve beverages, or as a centerpiece on a table,” Terri says. “And the distressed white and blue finish makes it a perfect piece of functional decor at a beach wedding.”
Hannah’s Pick: Lighted Anchor Sign
Hannah chose the Lighted Anchor Sign for a beachside wedding because it’s a perfect way to create ambiance once the sun goes down. Hannah is a huge fan of all the vintage marquee lighted signs we have at Iron Accents, but she specifically loves this one for beach weddings.
“The Lighted Anchor Sign would look so great if placed on the main table, gift table, or even the cake table,” Hannah says. “It would even be a gorgeous décor piece just laying in the sand mixed with other beach elements!”
