Staff Holiday Picks Part 1

If you’re anything like those of us here at Iron Accents, you’ve been chomping at the bit to get out your holiday decorations since the first touch of cold temperatures. From decking the halls in our favorite glittering creations to filling a kitchen with warm, oven-fresh, calorie-heavy baked goods, there are few things about the holidays not to love. Unless, of course, you plan to spend the weeks leading up to the holidays sitting in shopping mall traffic and standing in endless lines. Luckily, Iron Accents has a little something for everyone – and whether you’re shopping in store or online, it’s always a stress free and fun experience.
To reduce your stress level even further, we’ve compiled a list of employee picks just in time for your holiday shopping. Here are some of our most favorite décor and gift giving ideas!
Teresa’s Gift Pick: Glass Apothecary Beverage Dispenser
This simple Apothecary Jar Beverage Dispenser would make the perfect holiday gift for anyone on your list. I especially like the effortless shape and design of this product – and the price is affordable too. However, the best thing about it (and the feature that makes it such a great gift) is that it can be filled with any type of beverage from your grandmother’s sweet tea to your brother’s famous spiked apple cider.
Teresa’s Decor Pick: Wooden Display Boxes
Wooden display boxes are an exceptional holiday buy because, although they make a great holiday piece, they can also be used year- round. For holiday cheer, I would fill them with Christmas balls, candles, fruits or anything to do with the holiday season. However, you could switch out the contents for every season. Not to mention, this item comes in a set of three – so you could fill each one with a different decoration.
Christie’s Gift Pick: Duck Wine Bottle Holder
This extremely unique wine holder would be a great gift for the host of your next dinner party, or for the wine connoisseur in you circle. Instead of giving your loved one just a bottle of wine in wrapped unceremoniously in a simple gift bag, make an inexpensive bottle of wine special by presenting it in this distinctive holder.
Christie’s Decor Pick: Lighted Wreath
This gorgeous, glowing LED lighted wreath offers a new take on an old favorite. What a great way to dress a front door or light up a window! Because these elegant wreaths are battery operated and come equipped with a timer, you can hang them nearly anywhere and never worry about remembering to turn them off.
Valerie’s Gift Pick: Alligator Soup Spoons
I have to admit, this is already one of my early purchases for gift giving this year. We’ve had these interesting alligator spoons in stock for a couple of years now, and they’ve always enchanted our customers. I paired a set with a bag of tasty gumbo mix and placed the items in a pretty basket. ((Now my friends and family can take turns guessing who is lucky enough to get this gift this year!)
Valerie’s Decor Pick: Flocked Lit Tree
One of my favorite finds at the last market were these flocked lit trees. They’re so simple and natural, and so beautiful at the same time. Not to mention, they’re battery operated with a 6 hour timer – so you can place them anywhere without searching for outlets and running pesky cords around your home. Simply add an ornate bird, owl or a simple nest. These are perfect for creating a holiday landscape on your buffet, mantle or even a bedroom. (In fact, my granddaughter has decided this piece makes the perfect Barbie tree.) Like many of our other pieces, though, these trees can be displayed all year round.
